Julie Murray
Growing up in a neurodiverse household and now the mother of two wonderfully unique children of her own, Julie knows first-hand how powerful early years experiences for children are, as well as the gravity and necessity for families to access and implement life changing information, tools, and strategies.
Join Julie for an immersive music making chat and play. Consider this your how-to guide to understanding why every ADHDer needs quality music education. Explore some of the many positive effects music has on the ADHDers we love, featuring useful games that all grown-ups can play with the kiddos - hello brain breaks!
Actively making music is an executive function increasing powerhouse, and Julie will dive in and demonstrate how to take something quite simple and level it up to challenge our children, while building resilience and self esteem, flexing social skills, moving our bodies and having so much fun that they won't even know they're learning.
She also knows that music makes lives richer, brains kinder and hearts fuller, but did you know that the ADHD neurotype specifically loves and thrives even more when listening to specific music? Intrigued - it's a total game changer!
The significance of utilising this very important and exceptionally fun therapeutic tool can be easily incorporated into homes and classrooms. Julie is going to teach us all about the neuroscience behind this, backed up with lots of handy tools we can use with ADHDers to help them with executive functioning, transitions, memory, motivation and mood stability.
"We love the movers, we love the shakers, we love the full-bodied learners." says Julie.
Well, we definitely know she is at the right conference!
