Mindfulness for children- smiling on the inside!

I just adore the way the young children in this video describe the way their bodies FEEL when they experience a strong emotion – it makes so much sense doesn’t it?

Children are often overwhelmed by “too much talk and too much emotion”– no wonder their brains feel like a shaken glass jar full of glitter!

What an amazing group of young children sharing their thoughts about how their emotions make their bodies react, and strategies they have learnt to calm themselves down when the need arises.

In Australia we are becoming much more aware of the importance of developing programs to teach our children the importance of being more emotionally intelligent. Many schools are now including Mindfulness as a part of their curriculum and teaching practises.

Let’s teach all of our kids how to get the glitter to settle at the bottom of their jars!
